While taking advantage of the nice day we had (Saturday, September 24th 2011) I decided to take to the back garden and get some weeding done and also try to get the wet grass cut.  I spent several hours in the garden, I had no other plans so took my time.  All in all I spent approximately 4 hours in the garden, and within those 4 hours there were numerous planes in the sky, there was one Aer Lingus plane, one small private plane and a plethora of Jets.

Kind of unusual I thought as to the best of my knowledge we are not on a flight path here in Clonmellon (although this has not been officially confirmed).  Every one of the jet aircraft were spewing white emissions out the rear  and as far as I know theis was not a condensation trail, as condensation trails tend to disappear within minutes.  The trails eminating from the jets not only hung around for ages, thery even grew in size.  Each time I seen one I snapped a photo of it.  As can be seen from the photos here there were quite a few of them.  Did anybody else notice these trails today?  If so what do you think they are?  I am really interested in finding out what is making these massiwe trails in the sky...  Has anybody got any information theu could share to help me put this mystery to bed?  If you have an info please drop me an e-mail, I'd love to hear what other readers think.
