susansmallwood: Susan Smallwood family history.
Does anyone readng this come from the Mulligan family line of William born 1755 and died 1797 in Clonmellon? Son James b 1780 married to Rose Neil b 1785?
Would really love a family grave photograph.

Pablo Daniel OHiggins: Hello
Dear Administrator,
I am looking for some information about the place of birth of my great gandfather, Edward O'Higgins (b. 1851); as per the data I have, he was born in the city of Cloudmellin. My question is if this is an incorrect way of spelling the actual name of your town. I'll appreciate you could throw some light on this subject.Thank you very much. With best regards from Buenos Aires, Argentina,
Pablo Daniel O'Higgins
PS: many times the leaders and pioneers work completely alone, so others can to walk on the road they have opened. Don't give up, keep on running the web site!!!
Admin Reply: Hi Pablo, I will put your info on the site and if anybody knows your Grandfather or has any information I suggest they contact me through the site and I will pass on any information to you via your email address - Re spelling the name of the town, I have never heard it spelled any other way, only Clonmellon or by it's Irish name Ráistín.'

Siobhan: Great site!
Hi there, I think the site looks great but think it would be nice to see some more pics of the local amenities. I live in Australia and am hoping to travel to Clonmellon sometime in the near future to see where my Dad grew up (he lived in Killrush near Ballinlough castle)- It's fantastic what you're doing, putting the village on the map!!! Do you know of any accomodation nearby for some Aussie backpackers? Any B&Bs or even a pub to work/stay in? Look forward to see what next is coming up!
Thanks
Admins Reply: Thanks for the comments, I've been a bit lazy lately and need to get myself in gear and update the site content, I will add more images from the village real soon, for accomodation in the village I suggest HERE. What part of Australia are you in?

Hi clonmellon is very small and d website isnt very discriptive
Admin:
Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment.
If you have suggestions to improve the site or make it more descriptive I would love to hear them.
This site is run by one person (me) and updated in my spare time as I work full-time. I have tried in vain to get locals interested in posting to the site and adding more articles and content so apologies if the site is lacking in content. Maybe if other people got involved it could be a real community website instead of a one man show.
