 The Clonmellon parade took place today, it was the usual mix of tractors and colourful costumes. The parade was lead this year by Kenneth carpenter as St. Patrick (Well done Kenneth) followed by Raistin Rovers Soccer Club, Class Act Stage school who stopped mid parade and delighted the crowd with a dance from their upcoming show. St. Pauls GAA Club also featured along with members from the Clonmellon Youth Club. Onlookers were treated to some old cars, tractors and even motorbikes from years gone by.
The sun smiled on us all through the parade and even the wind stayed away. The atmosphere was fantastic and all present seemed to enjoy themselves. This parade was the 16th one according to compere Tossie Henry.
