Clonmellon Active Retirement Association
 Welcome to Clonmellon Active Retirement Association we meet in the Clonmellon Community Centre every Thursday from 3pm to 5pm. This page is currently under construction so please be patient.
A little bit about us The group is open to all members of the community of Clonmellon, Killallon and the surrounding areas aged from 55 yrs and beyond!! They are also open to people of all ages who would like to help out with activities behind the scenes, etc.
The group was set up in June 2009 to enable older members of the community to take part in a wide range of physical, social, cultural and learning activities while at the same time enabling them to make new friends and meet people from the surrounding areas.
Views were expressed from the community that a lot of older people were feeling very isolated now that they were retired or families grown up, often seeing nobody during the day and spending many hours alone.
