Todd Chapman: Chapman Family
I recently stumbled on your site when researching my ancestry. I am a 13th generation direct decendant of Captain Benjamin Chapman through his son Thomas' line. When looking to find more information regarding them, I discovered how their history was connected to Killua Castle and Clonmellon. I would love to visit your community some time and find out more about my ancient family.
I love your website!

Kim Deamer: Sheridan Family history
It looks like others are posting questions about their ancestral families....so maybe you need a seperate section related to that? I hear that there are still some Sheridan's living in the area...so I'm hoping to find pictures, stories or more names. If there is a house still standing where they lived...I would love to have a picture. My ancestor was Sylvester Sheirdan, born in Clonmellon in 1837 to Hugh Sheridan and Catherine Lynch. This particular family then immigrated to Pennsylvania, America before the next set of siblings were born. If you've got information or need more information to see if your family and mine are the same, please feel free to contact me via e-mail at: kdeamer7@gmail.com
THANKS!

John O'Reilly: Mr
Great web site, keep up the good work.
Along with a lot of your subscribers I am carrying out family research in the area and would be pleased if anyone linking with the Reilly; Coogan; Kiernan; Boylan & McDermott want to get in touch.
I am also trying to raise interest in getting the old Killua graveyard surveyed and mapped out, i have a quote from a couple of companies and the assistance of a local man John Gavin who has been very helpful: It is not that expensive but too much so for one person.
Would any of your subscribers consider contributing, I see the next two years as probably being our last real chance to get it done thoroughly.
Many thanks once again.

Sticks: Well Done!
Well done and thank you for the Freeman information.
My family are having a lot of problems/arrears and this information is going to help us.
Keep up the good work and if you have any more information, I will be very interested. Do you have any sites that I can find out any more information about this?
Best Regards
Sticks

Thanks Sticks... As far as I am aware this information is too important to remove, even though it's ona small village website. If it helps one person then it's been worth it. I got this information from THIS WEBSITE. There's lots more info on the site which people might benefit from. The people running the site had a guest on their internet radio show on Sunday last and this guy spoke a lot of wise words, words that could potentially prevent somebody from having their home reposessed. I am glad the information was beneficial to you and encourage you to visit the website above and send family and friends to it, or at least download the Freeman Guide and the Blank of Ireland e-books and share with EVERYBODY!!!

woody: website
Hi,
this is just my opinion but if people are looking for financial help they are not going to type clonmellon into google, I really think you should delete that freeman stuff, and replace it with stuff to do with clonmellon.

Thank you Woody for your comments, I however will not be removing this information from the site as I feel it is important information which is both educational and beneficial. I respect your opinion but what about the people who are allready up to their necks in debt and don't see a way out? If when browsing this site they stumble across the info and can benefit from it then it's worthwhile. leaving it in place. If you heven't allready done so I would suggest you read both documents in full and see if you stilll have the same opinion afterwards. Perhaps you might know somebody who would benefit from reading the information, if so please download and pass it on.

Siobhan: Great site!
Hi there, I think the site looks great but think it would be nice to see some more pics of the local amenities. I live in Australia and am hoping to travel to Clonmellon sometime in the near future to see where my Dad grew up (he lived in Killrush near Ballinlough castle)- It's fantastic what you're doing, putting the village on the map!!! Do you know of any accomodation nearby for some Aussie backpackers? Any B&Bs or even a pub to work/stay in? Look forward to see what next is coming up!
Thanks
Admins Reply: Thanks for the comments, I've been a bit lazy lately and need to get myself in gear and update the site content, I will add more images from the village real soon, for accomodation in the village I suggest HERE. What part of Australia are you in?
