the weather settled a little in the second half with 2 points to loughnavalley with no reply from st pauls until the 44 minnute when Jimmy MC Quaid scored a magnificient point from a very tight angle,at the 10 min mark st pauls Maurice Quinn took a solid shoulder and unfortunately was unable to continue with Brendan O Brien taking his place,st pauls midfield player Conor Slater is playing like a man with a lot or courage and vision who never shirked a tackle and with Philip Gilsenan and Maurice QUINN were very solid, loughnavalley scored a point on 13 mins to raise their spirits.
the pitch was beginning to cut up and Jimmy Weldon had his work cut out and as usual he stayed in control, manager OF ST PAULS, Jake Dolan was reading the game well with alot of close hand passing the order of the day, ON 17 MINS Robert Dugdale scored a well deserved point, Richard Sheridan came on for Seamus MC Namee and after a goalmouth scramble scored st pauls second goal on 20 minutes, David Whelehan came on for Lee O Farrell at corner forward, another point from man of the match Darren Henry on 26 mins had st pauls 2-8 to o-6,loughnavalley scored a late goal on 32mins to leave the final sc ore st pauls 2-8 to loughnavalley 1-6. st pauls have improved a lot over the winter months and no doubt the 12 weeks in the gym has given us both the fitness and body strength needed to lift our confidence and believe that we can achieve as much as we want.

NMTT FUNDRAISER
Unfortunately the weather went against us on sunday 9 march and we had no choice but to cancel the charity ride out by the Ballymacad,it was a shame because Maurice Quinn and his team put a lot of effort into making it a success. Our auction went ahead in MULVANEYS with a lot of lots sponsored by people far & wide thanks to Michael Farrelly who conducted the auction brillantly and pushed a lot of items all the way to get the charity over €2,200 euro. special thanks to "Gary the scouse" and Paul Anthony who between them must have over a thousand songs in their heads and sang most of them into the early hours, I'm sure we will see Gary and Paul jamming again in the near future.
