Hello. I live in Cluain Mhor estate and have been without water since 8 January. Of the 36 houses here about 6 have had no water since then. A little warning: A friend who lives in Kildalkey had his water return uesterday, after 10 days without it. The pressure burst 9 pipes, valves, taps in the house and caused major damage. I have turned my stop cock under the kitchen sink off and will only turn it on very carefully when the water returns. Good Luck! Kurt

Hi Kurt, thanks for the post, I have posted this info on the front page of the site as I feel it is important information for those who are without water at this time. I have also linked the front page info to this post on the forum just in case anybody wants to reply. I'm sure your neighbours won't see you go without water but if I can help please let me know. Hi Steven, thanks for the kind words. Just a quick word to say that this website is excellent. I have seen a lot of sites and this is top of class in every way. I lived here for almost ten years and have never felt a sense of community and being connected. This website may be a way forward. My wife will get a login shortly. I can see on boards.ie that it may take quite a few days after the thaw sets to unfreeze the pipes/spurs, so in Cluain Mhor it will probably be Sunday. Between the neighbeours gardenhose and the standpipe in the estate we are struggling. Handy tip: Shower and shave in the Aura Leisure Centre in Trim! :-) Kurt
