 STARS IN THEIR EYES
Sunday afternoon 1st of November 2009 seen Isaacs Well Clonmellon transformed into studio 1 for Class Act Stage Schools "Stars in their Eyes" competition.
The show was, in one word "fantastic", the talented children from the Class Act stage school were given their chance to really shine as individuals and perform as their favourite artist in front of their captive and appreciative audience. It was the hard work of Damien "Dougie" Douglas, Laura Martin and a host of helpers who donated their time, prizes and equipment that helped make the show a big success, the talent provided by the class act students was the icing on the cake. The large function room at Isaacs was packed to the rafters and everybody had a great afternoons entertainment. The show kicked off at 4pm and went on until 7pm. There were 14 acts in total ranging from Michael Jacksons "Thriler", The Sugarbabes, Pink, Michael Buble, Bono, Lily Allen, Robbie Williams, Miley Cyrus and Tina Turner bringing the show to a close with a Creedence Clearwater Revival classic "Proud Mary". The show really rocked with talent but only 7 acts went through to the final which will be held on November 22nd in St. James Hall, Athboy. It is impossible to try to thank everybody as somebody always gets left out so a big Clonmellon "Thank You" to everybody who participated, everybody who helped out and especially to Damien & Laura for giving our children this chance to strut their stuff and have their 5 minutes of fame.
